When NIBCO INC. set out to modernize how they exchanged documents with their customers, they knew email was holding them back. The process was slow, prone to errors, and costly for both sides. They turned to Supply Cloud for a more efficient, scalable, and cost-effective solution.
In this interview, Kelly Everett, EDI Specialist, shares how Supply Cloud simplified EDI, reduced errors, and strengthened customer relationships across their two companies.
KE: Very satisfied! Supply Cloud streamlines the EDI process for NIBCO INC. and Matco-Norca. We operate under both company names, and Supply Cloud allows us to use one Member ID for each member into our ERP system that covers both companies.
KE: Before Supply Cloud, most of our customers sent documents via email. EDI is much more efficient and cost effective than sending documents by email. Our customers now receive their documents much quicker. A major benefit is that Supply Cloud allows our customers who aren’t part of an existing group to utilize EDI as a member of Supply Cloud within a larger group. Plus, we can easily add any of our customers to the connection!
KE: We started seeing value immediately after go-live. The onboarding process was very smooth. I especially appreciate that Supply Cloud assigns a testing window with a dedicated resource, usually within a one-month period. This keeps testing timely and helps our EDI team stay organized.
KE: Switching a partner over to Supply Cloud saves a lot of time and reduces EDI errors. All members share the same mappings, which really streamlines the process. Since we use a third-party software provider, being able to copy mappings across members also saves significantly on costs.
KE: The biggest improvement is a reduction in errors whenever a member switches to Supply Cloud. Shared EDI mappings reduce errors significantly for us.
KE: The Supply Cloud team is great! They actively reach out to potential members after a cutover to help us maximize the utilization of our new connection. This has been extremely helpful for both our companies and our customers.
